Personal Statement

Dear Baseball,

You have helped me grow as as an athlete, and as a person. I was introduced to you in the first grade and you are still my number one passion.  You have taught me the values of teamwork, commitment, sacrifice and leadership that make up the person I am today. Because of you, I will be committed to the academic and athletic side of college.

I have sacrificed my time to play and grow into you and increase my skill level. I have learned how to work with teammates, as well as teams. These skills have shaped me into the competitive athlete I am now.  You have helped me believe that I, not only have the talent to compete on a collegiate level, but also the character, work-ethic and leadership skills to make an appreciable impact on any program.

  • NOTES: Hitting Made great adjustments during his time here at IMG. Main goal was for Miko to learn how to properly use his lower half, and focus on that mechanical aspect of the swing. Shows ability to drive baseball to all Lelds with good feel for the barrel. Athletic base and setup. Needs to continue to work on loading into the backside/lower-half, and the initiation of the swing with intent to be explosive. NA NA NA NA 3.8 Pitching More really good adjustments shown by Miko on the mound. Coachable, with ability to apply instruction. Needs to stay taller in the set with the glove in the proper position. Stay low with lower half. Stride improved greatly with front side improving as well. Stay aggressive with lower half. NA NA NA NA 3.7 Defense Athletic in the INF. Shows range and athletic arm. Good feel with hands. Tends to funnel too much, which creates a habit of Lelding the ball too deep and in a non-athletic position. Continue to work through the baseball, Lelding it in the center to left side of body. Will develop into plus defender. Shows ability to make extraordinary plays with athleticism. NA NA NA NA 4.0 Character/Work Ethic Showed great character and work ethic throughout stay at IMG. Very respectful and determined to make improvements in every aspect of the game. Very coachable and applies information and instruction well.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
