My name is Camden Martin and I am a 16 year old Sophomore in Bradenton, Florida. I attend Lakewood Ranch High School and play for our high school team, the Lakewood Ranch Mustangs. When we aren't playing, I play travel ball with the Rebels. Catching is my favorite position, but I also play first base. My height is 5’10” and my weight is 150 lbs. I have been playing baseball since I was a little kid and have been catching since I was 11. My travel team has won many big tournaments including the 13u National World Series. During this tournament, I personally batted .500 and won the offensive MVP award. I take lessons from the private hitting coach - Ryan Jackson. He was a hitting coach for the Reds organization and had an 11 year professional baseball career with the Marlins, Mariners, and Tigers.
After high school, my main goal has always been to play baseball at the college level. I am open to offers from D1 and D2 schools. Ultimately, I hope to get the chance to play baseball in the major leagues. I am also looking forward to the academic side of college to further my education. My current GPA is a 3.6 - I hope to continue to succeed in high school and raise my GPA even further. In addition to academics, I offer many other personal qualities to a college such as my leadership skills, adapting to a new environment, and getting along with others. I have always been the one to show up early, and leave late and plan on continuing that until I achieve all my goals. I look forward to speaking to recruits about my future in baseball.
