Personal Statement NCSA
Hello, my name is Anthony Bennetti. I’ve been playing baseball ever since I was five. While playing Little League and Pony baseball, I made the All-Star team every year. When I was nine, my All-Star team made it to Texas to play in the 2010 South Zone All-Star Tournament. We went undefeated, thanks to a big two-out hit I had in the final game. A few years later on my travel team, I had the opportunity to compete in a wood bat tournament on the Yankees spring training practice fields. During the championship game, I, again, had the chance to have a game changing two-out base hit to score the runner from third for the go-ahead run. After that, I had the absolute amazing experience to pitch the last inning where I struck out the last batter to win it. This is one of the most memorable baseball memories I have ever been a part of.
For my high school experience, I have had the opportunity to not only continue playing baseball, but have also been fortunate enough to be voted both defensive and offensive MVP by my coaches and by my teammates. Academically, I have taken advanced Honors course in my freshman year and was accepted into the school’s International Bachelorette (IB) Diploma Program. Looking forward to college, I hope to find a program where I can continue to excel on the baseball field and in the classroom. Baseball has always been something I take seriously. The opportunities I have been given have taught me that pressure situations are something that I really excel at. I believe I can make an impactful difference at the college level and, in those situations, you can be confident in my ability on the field and as a leader for your team.
