I am ready to see and drive the ball, to have quality at bats, good games, proper thinking, to be quick, flexible, physically and mentally strong, I am ready to be the best.

Through my confidence I postulate that always will bat for extraordinary average and power! My fielding, speed and arm will be exceptional! I am determined to continue to work hard.

I will be passionate and enjoy the game of baseball! When I train I smile. When I play in a game I smile . When I get out I smile . When I am at my best, I will enjoy the game even more.

I have pride in what I do.

I have the ability and willingness to act courageous in the face of uncertainty, fear, pain, danger, or intimidation. When tough situations arise, I am ready to confront them.

The blue team had a pair of shortstops that caught the eyes of the scouts on hand. David Vazquez is a 2017 grad from Hialeah, FL who has a very complete all-around game. He ran 6.98, threw 91 mph, had a 94 mph exit velocity and used all of the tools well in the game. He has sure hands and reads hops very well in the infield and his line drive stroke at the plate features quick hands and good bat-to-ball skills.

06/14/2016 - 2016 Under Armour Showcase: Baseball Factory's National Florida David continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities. Foot speed has really improved, now an outstanding runner as indicated by his 60 time of 6.98. In the MIF, he uses his quick / athletic feet well in his lateral movements as he covers a lot of ground, displaying range. Hands / feet work well together through the fielding process as he shows big play potential. Arm strength is at a pro level as indicated by his top 91 mph velocity. Throws display life, accuracy, and on line carry as he gets rid of the baseball quickly. At the plate, he has improved his hitting / power potential through an athletic setup. Hands are quick (94 mph exit velocity) generating bat speed through a direct / level swing path. He has strength in his swing and works to stay inside the ball, utilizing all fields, displaying gap to gap pop. David will get looks from the top collegiate coaches and pro scouts with his baseball tools.

David Vazquez is a 2017 SS/OF/RHP with a 6-1 171 lb. frame from Hialeah, FL who attends Westland Hialeah HS. Has a large frame, athletic build, room to fill to already strong body. Posted a 6.97 sixty yard dash. From the infield, fields the ball out front with quick transfers into throws. Gets on top of throws with good carry and arm strength up to 88 MPH. From the outfield, works through the ball nicely with clean transfers. Has plus arm strength up to 92 MPH that were online with tremendous carry. At the plate, right-handed hitter that has good leverage in his swing and stays loose throughout. Ball would come hard off the barrel loudly. Tons of raw bat speed, chance to be an impact player at the next level. Lots of tools that project highly. Named to 2016 Sunshine East Top Prospect List.

David Vazquez - SS - 2017 - Hialeah, FL Vazquez has an athletic, projectable frame and he showed off solid tools across the board, hitting 88 and 87 mph in defensive drills while working out in both the outfield and infield, and flashing strength and quality bat speed in his loose, fluid swing.

David Vazquez is a 2017 SS/RHP/OF with a 6-1 177 lb. frame from Hialeah, FL who attends Westland Hialeah HS. Strong athletic build with room for more strength, projects well physically. Right handed hitter, good load and shift into contact, loose and fluid swing with good extension and some lift out front, makes hard line drive contact and can drive the gaps, nice hitting tools to develop. 7.06 runner, plays both the infield and outfield equally well, has a loose arm with a quick release and good arm strength at both positions, footwork is solid as well, shows his athleticism. Also pitched, big rocker step and high leg lift delivery, fast and easy arm action, delivery is smooth and repeatable. Fastball topped out at 86 mph from a 3/4's arm slot, has good life in the zone and gets on hitters quickly. Soft curveball is thrown for strikes and has some depth to it, can use better arm speed on the pitch. Just a solid all around athlete with tools and some skills, can play all around the field. Good student.

09/19/2015 - 2015 Under Armour Showcase: Baseball Factory's Futures East Vazquez is a well-rounded player with usable hit and field tools, and much improved speed . At the plate, he featured a line drive stroke with a level path and good core rotation - allowing for consistent delivery of the barrel both in BP and against live stuff. He doubled and singled in three trips to the plate. Defensively, he played down low with the ball and got his hands out front. His actions were solid, especially on double play feeds and turns, and he got his throws across the infield well. Overall , a solid infield defender with improved athleticism and hitting ability.

On 06/05/15 I hit 2 home runs in BP at Holman Stadium Vero Beach , a couple more during BP against the net at left field at Jet Blue stadium Fort Myers in Junior Nationals showcase . On 06/27/15 during BP session at Nationals B. A. In Washing DC I connected 2 HR in BP that surpassed the bullpen behind the left field fence (310-330) . On 10/26/15 connect HR during a game to Left Center at Hialeah Slate Park (350 ft ) . Others stadiums/parks at 315 ft or more during BP or Games . Its just a BP but as I gain more weight and experience there will be no stadium built that can hold my power.

+ SS David Vazquez Westland Hialeah HS 2017 6-foot-1 155 pounds with a lean, athletic, and projectable body. Wide base at the plate, has good rhythm, and gets a good separation for his load. Good lower half, nice swing plane, and the ball jumps off his bat.

David Vazquez is a 2017 SS/ with a 6-1 160 lb. frame from Hialeah, FL who attends Westland Hialeah Senior. Long, lean frame with athletic, slender build, plenty of room to fill out, add strength. Good defensive actions in the infield, moves pretty well and shows range to both sides, especially to his left. Fields out in front, soft hands, has easy, loose arm-action with developing arm strength. Right handed hitter, wide base with hands tight to body from high set. Medium leg lift trigger, extended hand load, long path to ball, gets barrel through zone and shows ability to get extended. Can dip and work under ball at times, lifts at contact, shows impressive carry for player of his size. Projects well, should continue to improve with added strength. Outstanding student. Named to Showcase Top Prospect Team.

Scouting Blog #7 David Vazquez – “Baseball player” type with advanced defensive skills and feel for the game. He is built like an athlete, and moved like an athlete. Showed range up the middle, along with good feet and very good overall awareness and instincts. Completed a nice relay from the OF. Showed bat speed at the plate, along with the ability to work the barrel through the zone a long time.
