Gabriel Martinez '19 Recruiting Profile

I am very interested in playing college baseball. I have shown dedication towards my highschool team and continue to show sincere discipline on and off the field. For my senior season my team has chose me to lead the team as the captain for the year, I really take this leadership role and cherish it, after school heading to practice my teammates enjoy the enthusiasm and the energy I bring to the field. No matter what I always have a smile on my face and look to the brighter side of things. This has all been developed throughout my years of highschool, Two years ago, my sophomore season, we made it to state semi finals. Unfortunately, we lost but that year was so special. I really am blessed for the experience that season gave me and honored to say I started all 28 games at first base. We finished that season 26-2 following a 20 game win streak that was snapped in our semi final loss. We had amazing leaders who tought me what it is to be a better player and a better person. Other than that, in the classroom I serve as a role model to my fellow classmates.
