Personal Statement
I have been playing baseball since the age of 3 in T-ball. I work very hard to continually improve my baseball skills. Three hour practice sessions on the field are not unusual for me. I started to play tournament baseball with the West Florida Baseball Academy and other teams in the USSSA (United States Specialty Sports Association) and GSSA (Great Southern Sports Association) and have profiles that date back to when I was 10 years of age. The reason that I work daily on my baseball skills is because I would like to very much be part of a team that plays in a competitive college division. I am a member of a gym and also work with the BRX strength program. I normally work with Coach Kevin Johnson of the Anaheim Angels on my pitching and with Coach Logan Fiasco from the University of Louisiana on my hitting. I have been weight training for several years now with my brother Michael whom is a regional power-lifting champion for Pace High School and a State of Florida finalist. Winning has always been important to me in addition to good sportsmanship. In addition, I am a multi-sport athlete and have excelled in soccer and track. I was a first string goalie for my Pace High Soccer team. I am also a regional champion in the Javelin and won 4th place at the Florida State Championships held at the University of Florida.
I have always respected all of my coaches and teammates. I also feel that it is important to serve in the community. I have served our community by donating food to the local food shelter. I know that this will help those in need. To me, the most important part of being on a team is good sportsmanship from my teammates and coaches. I will always support my team 100% in all situations and will always be respectful towards everyone on the team, but I also expect that my teammates and coaches be respectful with one another. This is very important to me. I have seen bad behavior on teams go undisciplined and that leads to hurting players and the team. On the other hand, I have also been with coaches and teammates that are the next thing to family and very supportive of the athletes on their team; this culture brings out the best in everyone.
Even though I have played every position, I am specializing at Outfield, First Base, and I am a Right Hand Pitcher. As an athlete, my goal is to play on a professional baseball team. My academic goal is to study Biology and science to prepare for Dental School. In addition to my high school baseball team and those listed below, I have also played with FTB, Five Star National, and the East Cox Sox at the highest level tournaments such as the BCS National Championship, and the WWBA championships. I made Top Prospect at 4 different Perfect Game showcase events in 2021. While playing at the PG National Underclass Southeast Showcase, I made the Top Prospect Team. I also went to Embry Riddle in 2021 to a Junior Day Baseball Regional Ryzer Event and was selected to play for the South Select National Team at the Junior Day Baseball National Event in Nashville, Tennessee. In addition, I am the record holder at the 60 yard run at the Perfect Game National Underclass Southeast Showcase at the Top Chops in Marietta, Georgia. I am also ranked in Ryzer tied for first in Florida with the fastest time in the 60, for the class of 2023. There are links below that will take you to videos and evaluations on Perfect Game. You can also see in the Ryzer account that I am near the top in many of the stats in Florida class of 2023.
