I have played baseball since I was seven years old. Every coach told my parents that I had a strong arm and I needed to be on the mound. I started pitching when I was 9. I remember pitching against 13 year olds! That was a learning experience! I was homeschooled many years because I have dyslexia. In 2016, my dad was in an airplane crash and was in the hospital for many months. I had to go back to school and do my best. I found ways to help me succeed in school. While in seventh grade, I played on my private school’s baseball team. We played teams 7th-12th grade. I was the starting pitcher. Again, I had a huge learning experience pitching to 18 year olds. I never gave up. I have been a starting pitcher the last two years in high school.
My goal is to play baseball through college. I love the game, my teammates, and the competition. Every game, I encourage my teammates, because I know we all have days where we just need someone to lift us up.
My academics are very important and I strive to always do my best in each class. One class that encourages me to be a leader and strive for excellence is AFJROTC.
My future career in life is to join the military and serve my country as a pilot or criminal justice investigator.
