In 2018, as a sophomore, my team lost in the Elite 8. That marked the turning point for me in my high school baseball career. Although I didn’t play in that final game, I saw how defeated the seniors were knowing that, for most of them, that was the last game of their baseball careers. From that day forward, I was determined to get better so that I could help my team advance as far as possible in the next two seasons. I’ve played baseball since I could walk. It’s almost like breathing to me; I can’t go without it. In my junior year I found myself in the position of being a PO. I decided to embrace that role and become the best pitcher I could be for my team. Every time I take the mound I play for my mother, who always supports me. I strive to prove all the doubters wrong. I will continue to work hard in the classroom, weight room, and ball field. I’ve become a leader for our team and I know I could be a asset for any college program that will give me a chance.
