My name is David Depner. I am a 6’2", 180 lb RHP. I attend South Forsyth High School which competes in 7A in Georgia. I aspire to play competitive baseball at a school with high academic standards. I will graduate in 2026 and my favorite classes are marketing and engineering. I enjoy them because they are hands-on classes with a high value in life skills and everyday uses. In addition to playing baseball, I am a member of the world's largest chapter of DECA and I will be competing for the first time this year at states. Additionally, this fall I launched an equipment drive for the local Miracle League which raised over $500 and collected over 150 pieces of equipment.
I am a starting pitcher for the Roadrunners National 16U team from Alpharetta Georgia. I throw a 2 and 4-seam fastball, a circle change, a slider, and a curveball. My main pitch is the 2-seam fastball because I can generate a great deal of run and late movement that helps create a lot of soft contact, especially from right-handed batters. My go-to pitches for a strikeout are a curveball or slider because of the amount of vertical and horizontal break they generate.
If you are looking for a smart, determined, and hard-working young man for your team, then I would ask that you check out my YouTube page at youtube.com/@DavidDepner10 to see some highlights and please feel free to subscribe. I am posting them periodically throughout the season. Additionally, I can be found on Twitter at @david_depner.
