My name is Preston Welsh and I am 16 years old. I have been playing baseball since I was 3 years old, just playing catch or hitting with a little wiffle ball bat. I fell in love in with this game the second I knew what a baseball was, and have strived to be the best I can at it. I work very hard when I’m on the field, always looking for something to learn or improve on. I am very coachable and can control my emotions and attitude with ease. My goal is to be drafted to a major league team and play in the MLB. It has been a dream of mine since I was very young and now I want to make it a reality.
I work hard in school to keep my grades up and not get into any trouble. I help others when they need it and am not afraid to ask for it. I attend church weekly and participate in leadership roles within my stake (a stake is a group of Wards in an area).
I also have a good arm and leg/hip care routine where I use resistance bands and do a wide variety of stretches, especially with my hips and legs.
