November 2017 Personal Statement
My collegiate goal is to play college level baseball and to attend a college/university where I will be able to obtain a BA in Business/Entrepreneurship.
My work ethics, dedication and respect for the game of baseball is why I feel as though I am a great candidate for their team.
I am a team player and motivator. I encourage my teammates to be the best they can be on and off the field. I try to set a good example of being a coachable athlete. When I step out on the field I give the best performance I can give. But most important I make sure that all of my academic obligations are fulfilled.

- Darryl Buggs Team Elite Prime/ Nation Uncommitted 2020 Bugg’s Strengths Buggs was one of my favorite players this summer. He would come to the ball park every day ready to work. And towards the end of the summer that hard work really started to pay off. Buggs had made some mechanical changes in his swing and you could really see the improvements with that. One of Buggs other strengths is his versatility. He can literally play anywhere on the field, and that is only going to help him once the recruiting process starts to pick up. Bugg’s Speed is a game changer, he is a gamer and hustles nonstop. He would change the tone of games by just beating out infield hits. Buggs Improvements. I think he needs to continue to keep working hard and doing the little things which in return will add up and help his game tremendously. He did the little things really well in the beginning of the summer and was one of the MVPs to me in the PG invite. Then he started to get away from that. I think Darryl really needs to focus on getting in the weight room and getting bigger and even faster this offseason. I want for him to take that next step as a baseball player and these two things are going to help him. I also want him to start hitting more on a consistent basis to really “feel” his swing and learn what he is doing. I know I would love to personally work with him to help him continue to get better. As far as the arm swing and the “pushing” of the baseball that coach Brooke and I talked about to him this summer I think that needs to be improved as well. I would focus on one “consistent motion” and allowing the arm to be free and easy without the pause or the pushing. That will take time to fix and will not be an overnight thing. All in all I really enjoyed getting to coach and getting to know Darryl. He has a very bright future and I am looking forward to seeing him get better and better under our TE coaching staffs watch.
