Ekolu Watanabe (Ventura College) '17 Recruiting Profile

My name is Ekolu Watanabe.  I am a Freshman at Ventura College, in Ventura, California.  I am a 5ʻ10", 175 lb left-handed pitcher and outfielder.  

I love to play baseball not only because I love the sport, but also because I enjoy being part of a team.  I have played baseball since I was 5 years old. I have grown both as a player and a person because of baseball.  I have learned sportsmanship, respect, how to be a leader as well as a team player, and to have resilience.

My goal is to go to college to obtain an education and to play baseball.  I am willing and able to put in the hard work that is necessary to succeed at the college level in both academics and in athletics.  I will use the values that I am learning in baseball to be a successful student-athlete, and a contributing member of my home and school community.
