James Guyer '22 Recruiting Profile

I am going to keep it real not like the others. Im not gonna have the “its my dream to do this” or “I am passionate about this”. That’s not me and I am going to keep it real the difference is they want to do it and I will do it one way or another. I love encouraging others and bringing life to any team i play on. My goal in life is to inspire others and show them what perseverance is. I am very respectful of the game of baseball and all who play. I don’t back talk the umpires and I always listen to my coaches even if I don’t agree. I may be a very respectful player ,but I am like Michael Jordan and I will get fired up and will be straight forward and real. I am not the tallest person in the world. I am not Aaron Judge sized. Even though I may not be that big, I will always outwork my competition no matter how big or strong they are.  I am someone who you know will give everything on and off the field. Even if someone may be a better baseball player than me and have a hundred pounds on me, humbly I say that they will not outwork me no matter what. As Derek Jeter once said,”There may be people who are more talented than you, but there’s no excuse for people to work harder than you.”
