Derrick Patrick '14 Recruiting Profile

I am a 6'2", 180lbs.  center fielder from Westinghouse College Prep graduating class of 2014. I've been playing at varsity level in high school since I was a freshman, and while playing with my traveling team, I was promoted up an age group, where I started. Not to mention I have won various MVP awards in my athletic career as well as leading those teams in position of captain.  

I am interested in a college where I can succeed at my full potential. My coaches have encouraged me to continue my hardwork in the classroom and on the field and I'm honored to have them in my life to help me towards my goals. I am interested not only in athletic scholarships but academic scholarships as well, since I have maintained an above 3.0 GPA so far in high school. However, I know that scholarships are limited and financially, my parents won't be able to make all those payments on their own. If I do get a scholarship then I will be more than thrilled, but at the same time I would look to be a leader not so much vocally but by example. Any college that can offer me the oppurtunity to succeed is a college that I would want to be a part of.
