My name is Michael Scardina, and I'm currently 16 years old, and I play for my high school called Harry D Jacobs. This game taught me a lot about life and how to expect a lot of failures but to never give up and that when you keep trying, success will come later on in life. I love to play this sport and basically grew up on the field following my dad steps, and how he loved to play the sport as much as I do. I want to strive and improve and work hard so I can see improvements in games and tournaments because once I pass those lines on the field, it is non-stop hustle and great effort out of me. I try to help the team as much as possible by either, getting on base or even just helping them improve as an individual and as a player. I try to help the community and program as much as I can, like selling cards for the program to help get a pitching machine or some new netting for the batting cages. I also volunteer at local places such as "Feed My Starving Children" and help out the community as much as I can. When I practice I always compete with the best players and eventually strive to be a better ballplayer throughout each season. I always take school seriously, and school always comes before baseball because it is more important to me if I want to be in the field I want to be for college, I’m taking the classes I need for my field of studies such as AP classes and honors classes. I always have kept over a 3.3 weighted GPA and close to a 4.9 unweighted GPA.
