Before living here in Lawrence County I lived in Mt. Vernon,IL for about eight years. Since then living in Bridgeport has change my life in many ways. Some things it has taught me is to take more responsibility for my actions and don’t be afraid to be a leader. Currently my grade point average is a 3.5. This grade point average and my teacher's recommendations have allowed me to be chosen for National Honor Society. Hard work and patience have taught me to keep a high grade point average.
My parents have thoroughly taught me hardwork and commitment. They want me to keep my good grades for my future for the career that interests me. In my future my plan is to go to OCC and get my general studies out of the a way and possibly move onto Eastern Illinois University. My goal is to pursue a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing which is a major that has interested me for awhile. This degree would get me to a bigger place to get a better pay. This would give me stability, the money to pay the bills, and hopefully support a family. However a job that would make me happy would change my life.
My final plans would be going to college and get a degree I want to pursue. Then this degree would get me the job I would enjoy and put hard work into, this scholarship would really help me in doing so.
