Personal Statement

The 2 things I am most passionate about are playing baseball and going to college and majoring in Cyber-Security.  I am always up for a challenge and like to accomplish positive results when faced with challenges.  The same is true in playing baseball, I am very dedicated, hard working, coachable and take accountability for everything I do. The strong desire of wanting to help people and make a difference to show that hard work pays off is what is pushing me to achieve my goals.

Growing up I have always been involved in sports and developed strong mental and physical strength through the opportunities, successful moments, and most importantly through failure. If you don't fail at least once, you will never know the value of success and how to keep pushing yourself to do better.  I cannot speak to the character of other recruits, but I can speak to my own. I have a high sense of integrity, respect, and determination. I work really hard and all of my teachers and coaches can attest to that. I feel that the demonstration and results of my hard work speaks for itself.  Not all students are great at taking written test such as my self but I  do not have any late assignments, my work is thorough, and I deliver quality work.  I am actually doing great in my college classes and I am on the honor roll because of the lectures, paper writing and research that is involved versus a written test every week. We all have different styles of learning and my hard work will show for itself in school and in sports.

I completed my criminal justice certificate and want to transfer to a 4 yr school in 2022 when I obtain my Associates degree. I am playing Baseball at Highland Community  College. It takes strong discipline and a great work ethic to accomplish the goals you set for your self. I am my own critic and always in competition with myself to do better.  Sports teach you how to work as a team and also how to communicate with people. I hope to be the best that I can to support my team in everything that I do.
