It has always been a dream of mine to have the ability both on the field and in the classroom to be become a collegiate student-athlete. With the hard work in both of these areas that have been instilled in me by my parents, I am now pursuing that dream. I am a good student who not only works hard in the classroom and on the field but who also volunteers in the community. I have for the last 5 years been working with the Challenger Baseball Program. This program allows children with disabilities to learn and play the great game of baseball. No matter what their disability may be. We spend the day on the field with them fielding, hitting, and running the bases. I also have enjoyed another volunteer project that I participated in at our local park where we built a boundless playground area for other kids in our community.
When it comes to my classroom work I plan on working diligently at achieving my Law degree. I have always wanted to practice law for as long as I can remember. I understand the commitment that this will take and I am looking forward to that challenge. I have never been one to shy away from any endeavor whether it be in the classroom or between the white lines.
Athletically I strive to be the absolute best player and team mate that I can be no matter what. Whether that be by working on my game either before or after practice, catching bullpens, or reviewing video of a upcoming opponent or going over my swing. I have a high baseball IQ with the knowledge that my father has bestowed upon me through his baseball experiences at Oklahoma State University and his time with the St. Louis Cardinals organization. If given the opportunity I know that I will be a successful collegiate student-athlete.
