Personal Statement
My name is Logan Kreske. I am a 6’ 2”, 210 lb, R/R Catcher. I played last year at McLennan Community College in Waco, TX on the JUCO World Series Championship Team. I am looking for a new opportunity for the 22 school year. Previous: DOB 7/12/02. Glenbrook South High School (GBS). GBS is a 3000 student high school in Glenview, IL, a suburb of Chicago, which consistently ranks as a top academic high school in Illinois (recently ranked #1 Best Public High School in Illinois according to Niche.com). I am on the Honor roll and recently received the Athletic Academic Award from the Titan Booster Club during my sophomore and junior baseball seasons.
I have been playing baseball as long as I can remember and would like to continue playing in college. Baseball has taught me many life lessons including perseverance, respect, leadership, hard work, goal setting, grit and teamwork. While I have pitched, played first and third base, my true passion is catching. I love the importance of being behind the plate and being responsible for calling the next pitch to win the battle, the ability to lead my team through communication, hard work and execution. I like to get the most out of my pitchers and my fielders and I love to win.
As a freshman in high school I played both basketball and baseball for my school, but decided to focus on baseball and schoolwork my Sophomore year. I still play basketball, soccer and golf recreationally, but only baseball competitively. When I am not practicing baseball, studying or working part time at a local sandwich shop, I am a youth group leader at my church.
As I look toward my future, my goal is to play baseball in college. I would like to be at a college where I can thrive in the classroom and on the field. Academic’s are extremely important to me so I am looking to combine a great baseball program with a great education. I believe that I have the tools to make a program better. I strive to be the best on and off the field, in the weight room and in the classroom.
