My name is Noah Stern, I'm from Highland Park, IL and will be a senior at Highland Park High School, graduating 2016 motivated to play baseball in college. I'm a left-handed pitcher, but a right-handed batter. Pitching is my primary position, with 1st base as my secondary, but I also play outfield. As an athletic player, I hustle to make plays on the mound, on the bag or in the field. I am commited to the sport I love and utilize my skills, leadership qualities and love of the game to play my best and inspire my teammates to play their best. I have been described as a very respectful, coachable and enthusiastic player who adds value to my teams. I look to constantly improve my game every chance I get. While I am extremely devoted to baseball, I take school very seriously as well and devote all my focus and energy towards the task at hand, whether on the field or off.
Throughout my baseball career I've been lucky enough to be in tournaments where I compete with and against the best and travel the county to play ball in the process. I am lucky to be able to keep up with the talent around the U.S. and succeed while on the bump. I plan on having the same success in college, and would love to be given the opportunity to do so.
I was lucky enough to be chosen to play on a team that traveled to Canada and this is what my coach had to say abotu me:
"Noah is a hard throwing left hander with speed, pitch variance, consistency and a healthy enthusiasm for the game. A contact hitter, he possesses good speed and base stealing ability. Noah displays leadership qualities and appears to relish that role. A varsity baseball and soccer player, Stern would like to continue his baseball career in college."
