Personal Statement

High School : Huntley High School ( 4A - Huntley IL.)

Graduation Year : 2019

My Personal Statement

Hi Coach, My name is Cole Haugh and I am a Senior at Huntley High School in Huntley, Illinois. I am playing for the DTA Wildcats in 2018, who are an elite travel organization in Illinois. as well as playing on Varsity for my school. I am also competing in a Varsity Fall Wood Bat League in Crystal Lake, IL.

I am a 4.1 GPA Athlete who thrives in Academics as well as Baseball. I am not only a skilled MIF but my cerebral skill sets makes me a weapon on both offense and defense. My goal is to attend a college where I can be rewarded for my academic achievements which would allow me to grow my education in books as well as baseball.

My core being is to ask "WHY NOT" to a challenge I face! From a young age I enjoy and thrive within a competitive environment. I focus on consistent hard work and striving to become a better student and athlete. I believe in pushing my teammates to be better, picking them up when they are down, and always believing in myself. I have found that Character is revealed in times of adversity and baseball provides that adversity and opportunity to grow my character each and every time by putting myself in extremely competitive situations, which will benefit me not only on the field or in the classroom but in life itself.  I am the 2nd grand child, of my Irish immigrant Grand Parents to go to college, and I am hungry for the opportunity to earn it. As my Grandfather said as he came to this country, - "NOTHING IS GIVEN TO YOU AND PEOPLE WILL ALWAYS DOUBT YOU, BUT NO ONE CAN CONTROL THE RESULT BUT YOU.  BUT ALONG THE WAY, TREAT OTHERS WITH RESPECT AND GRACE AND ALLOW YOUR FAITH TO CARRY YOU THROUGH THOSE TIMES AND YOUR LIFE WILL BE A LIFE LIVED WELL."

Myself and my family want to thank you for taking the time to review my profile and I only ask for the opportunity to show you what I am made off and look forward to the finished product I can and will become.

Cole Haugh

Part of this event is educational: there will be a lecture about what scouts look for, how to comport themselves, what to expect in the recruiting process, and the overall landscape of playing at the next level. The second function of the event is to identify young talent. As the preeminent scouting service across our 20+ state coverage area, the Prep Baseball Report is looking to identify promising young prospects at an earlier age so we can more accurately track their progress through their career. The Prep Baseball Report is subscribed by more than 400 colleges and the top performers at the event will be featured on our expansive website.
