Zak Sierra '26 Recruiting Profile

Ever since I was a little kid, baseball has been my passion. It's all I ever did and all I ever thought about. If I wasn't at a practice with my team, I was playing outside by myself with a tee.  At age 8, I was playing little league baseball and was asked to play up for a little league all star game at 10u.  With being younger, I didn't get very much playing time but I just soaked in every moment.  I came in to play in one of the last games and hit a a triple and drove in 2 runs.  It was AWESOME!  At that point I knew this is what I wanted to do forever.  After that, I was asked to do a private tryout for one of the big travel baseball teams in our area.  I quickly became a leader on the team by communicating with my teammates on the field and getting them pumped in the dugout.  They look to me to pick them up when they had a rough play or game.  I may not have always been the best on the field but I have continuously been told that I am coachable and I ALWAYS give 110%.  As competition gets harder, I know I have to work harder on and off the field. I understand the discipline it takes to have good grades, to participate in the community, and to continue to push on the field.  I have the character and drive to continue to get better.  Over the past 5 years, I have maintained a top 5 spot in the batting line up with an average of .337, OBP of .464 , and SLG of .584.  I am a starting out fielder and am the starting left or center fielder. Out of 33 total chances, I have 30 put outs with a fielding percentage of .909.  I LOVE baseball, I look forward to continuing my education while playing ball!
