Eliot Higgins '22 Recruiting Profile

I want to succeed at the highest level of baseball and academics.   I am a very hard worker that never quits.    My hard work has paid off and I have allowed the opportunity to take advanced level courses through out high school.  I have particularly enjoyed the rigorous math program at Maine South, which is a very large and competitive high school in the Chicago suburbs.  I have not yet decided my course of study in college. 

Athletically, I have worked very hard to better myself as a baseball player.  My coaches call me a late bloomer and say that I have a lot of room to grow and develop.  For example, my fastball velocity has increased 9 miles an hour since  May, 2020.  During my junior year, my team placed first in our conference, beat 4 teams who were ranked in the PBR top-25 and I was one of the fortunate juniors to play a role in our team success.  I primarily contributed as a Designated Hitter and RHP.  I had the opportunity to pitch four shutout innings to earn the win in our conference championship sealing game against our rival school, New Trier.  I  am a very reliable player and will make every effort to be available for preparation and games. Although I am a pitcher, I work very hard on my hitting and would be open to any opportunity which would allow me to keep playing the game that I love and to help your program succeed at the highest level.
