USA Baseball Great Lakes Region NTIS Tryout Camp of the 2018

We look forward to hosting you at the third USA Baseball Great Lakes Region NTIS Tryout Camp of the 2018 season. We have assembled a great coaching staff of high school, college and professional coaches, as well as former college players to instruct and evaluate in all aspects of the game. IMPORTANT: We will be evaluating your son at two different positions – the two that they registered online for. If you registered incorrectly, or if your son would like to change his two positions, please respond to this email so that we can have it correct on the evaluation sheets. Send your information or questions to [email protected]. If your son’s primary or secondary position is catcher, please bring all gear. Registration and Check-In Registration will begin at 8:30am. Check-in inside the facility to receive your camp t-shirt and evaluation number. Parents are welcome and encouraged to stick around for a parent presentation starting at 9:00am that will last 10-15 minutes. All questions regarding USA Baseball, tryout process, next steps, etc. will be addressed at once. If parents are not able to stay, attendance at the meeting is not required. What to Wear/Bring Athletes should wear baseball pants, socks, belt, cap, and turf shoes/sneakers (NO spikes or cleats). Bring all position specific equipment that you will need to try out at your desired position - bat, batting gloves, glove, catchers gear, helmet. For safety, athletes should bring a helmet. We will not have player helmets available. Facility Information The tryout camp will take place at the Quarry Fieldhouse located at 535 Anderson Drive, Romeoville, IL 60446. Lunch/Snacks This tryout will run during the lunch hour. Because of this, we will have a small break for snacks, sandwiches, etc. Please pack appropriately. Game Day USA Junior All-American

CONGRATULATIONS you have been selected to participate in the Game Day USA Junior All-American Games Fueled by Gatorade. You have been chosen from over 3,000 ALL-STAR participants to receive this special invitation. As a selected player you have until Friday, August 18th to accept this offer to participate. We will continue to send out invitations until our rosters are complete. Once we have team rosters completed, we will release further information such as itinerary, practice location, spirit wear, etc. Last year we had 600 players from 23 different states participate in our Junior All-American Games in Mesa, Arizona and Sarasota, Florida. We’re excited to announce this year we have expanded this event to the Washington Nationals and Houston Astro’s Spring Training Facilities in West Palm Beach, Florida. You have the choice of joining us for multiple events including the Cactus League(Chicago Cubs, Mesa Arizona) and Grapefruit League(Baltimore Orioles, Sarasota Florida) or (Washington Nationals /Houston Astro’s, West Palm Beach, Florida). These events will be hosted at the respective teams’ Spring Training complexes and will feature standout baseball athletes from all over the United States and Canada. Athletes will enjoy a Pro-Style Combine and Evaluation, Opening Ceremonies at the stadiums, Parade of Junior All-Americans, game competition, individual sport performance evaluations and skills competition. This is once again certain to be a memorable experience for all athletes and their families. FACILITIES Ed Smith Stadium – Spring Training home of the Baltimore Orioles in Sarasota, Florida. Participants of all ages will utilize the Spring Training facilities for a number of scheduled events. Ed Smith Stadium, Home of the Baltimore Orioles Spring Training games, will be used for some of the Prep Division gams as well as both opening and closing ceremonies for all ages. The Youth Division will be player their games at the Twin Lakes Sports Complex and other local venues.
