Personal Statement

I would like to continue my education, as well as play baseball, at the collegiate level. I am an extremely hard worker both on the field and off, and I have a positive attitude that will allow me to fit  in with any team. I am driven to succeed in the classroom as well as on the field, and I want to continue to work at the next level to be the best person and athlete that I can possibly be.

Every year the Preseason All-State Showcase highlights the Who’s Who of the junior class. This event is limited and exclusive to the top prospects in Illinois and serves as a springboard as you enter the high school season.

  • Mitch Dye is a 2022 3B/RHP, C, IF, OF with a 6-3 165 lb. frame from Springfield, IL who attends Sacred Heart Griffin. Large frame with projectable, athletic build; ran 60 yard dash in 7.49 seconds. Graded out best on the mound, compact arm stroke through the back, pounds the zone, works quickly with excellent tempo, creates plane, fastball worked 80-83 mph with good sink, showed good feel for knuckle curveball with good bite, really projects well on the mound. Hits from narrow base with hanging leg lift, balanced stroke, hands work on inside path, solid bat speed with projectable offensive tools. Worked out in the infield, hands work well, shows athleticism, many steps into release with max effort pull-down throws, clocked up to 83 mph on throws. Good student, named to 2020 Great Lakes Prospect Showcase Top Prospect List.
