Eric Doyle '18 Recruiting Profile

My name is Eric Doyle and if you are looking for an individual who loves to work at the game of baseball and play hard no matter the circumstances then I am the player you need to take a look at for your program.  It has been a goal of mine to play college baseball since I was 10 years old.  As a sophomore I made the varsity team and eventually the starting shortstop for our sectional championship team.  I also played 2^nd base, center field and was the starting catcher for a couple of games.  As you can see I am quite versatile and consider that a strength along with being flexible and willing to play where ever the coach feels I can best help the team. 

During travel season I play shortstop, 2^nd, 3^rd, center field and pitch when needed.  I consider myself a coach on the field and realize communication with coaches and my teammates is very important.  My summer team is the Fort Wayne Diamondbacks. 

Academically, I have a 3.3 GPA and have taken numerous honors courses at Bishop Dwenger High School.  I am strong in Math and look to attend a school that will allow me to continue my education as well as allow me the opportunity to play college baseball at a competitive level.  I plan on taking the SAT's and the ACT's during my junior year at Bishop Dwenger.   My goals are to get a good education and play baseball for as far as it will take me.  Leaving college with a degree and a great baseball experience is what I am looking forward to achieving.
