Jared May '20 Recruiting Profile

My name is Jared May I am a catcher/infielder and a member of the class of 2020. I am a two year varsity starter at different positions. I have a 3.63 GPA and scored a 23 on the ACT and a 1100 on the SAT. Ever since I can remember I have wanted to play college baseball. Baseball to me has always been a passion that has never died. Baseball has taught me how to deal with adversity and how to be a team player. My freshman year in my first high school game I suffered a broken leg. The recovery was long and hard, but it showed me how much I missed playing the game and how much I love it. While I have experienced injuries on the field I have dealt with personal obstacles off the field that have shaped me into the person I am today. After being diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at a young age, I have learned responsibility and accountability. I have a great work ethic, I am always striving to get better, and I am willing to do what is necessary to help the team succeed. I have a hard-working and passionate character which is shown on and off the field. I care about my performance in baseball and in the classroom. I aspire for my college career to be one to remember academically and athletically.
