I am currently a sophomore at Taylor High School in Kokomo, IN. Baseball is my passion and it has been a life long dream of mine to play at the collegiate level. I decided early in life to devote my time to baseball. I play on as many teams as I can. Over the past 12 years, I have learned from 20 different head coaches and many more assistant coaches. I have played on 33 different baseball teams which include H.S. varsity, H.S. Jr. varsity, Babe Ruth, travel ball, middle school, fall ball, little league majors, and rookie league. This past season as a freshman I played on both my high school varsity team and junior varsity team. After high school ball, I played 7 to 9 games a week between travel ball and Babe Ruth.
Twice I was selected to play on the Indiana North/South All-stars team, the first in 2014 and the second in 2017. Overall, I have played on 9 different All-star teams following regular season ball.
I have had the opportunity to play and excel at every position besides first base. I don't consider myself as a "utility" player per se even though I am capable of playing 8 of 9 positions. This is because I focus all of my efforts on whatever position the coach needs me to play during the season. I have been an active pitcher on 18 of the 33 teams that I have played for. In addition, I played catcher on 13 of the teams, 2nd base on 11 of the teams, short stop on 12 of the teams, center field on 25 of the teams, left field on 14 of the teams, right field on 5 of the teams, and 3rd base on one of the teams.
Last but not least, academically as a sophomore I am in the top six in my class with a GPA of 11.84 on a 12.0 scale (98.7%; equates to a 3.95 on a 4.0 scale). I intend to pursue a BS degree in computer science or computer engineering. As a student athlete, I look forward to representing my future college to my fullest potential.
