Andrew Lowe '10 Recruiting Profile

I am a senior at Whiting High School, graduating in June, 2010. My current class ranking is 12 in a class of 62 with a GPA of 3.34 on a 4.0 scale. I am a three year varsity starter at pitcher, third base and first base and have earned All-Conference and All-Area team awards the last two years. We won our second consecutive baseball sectional championship this past season. I was the winning pitcher of the sectional opener and championship, and pitched 21 of the 29 innings we played in the post-season. As a sophomore, I was the starting pitcher for our regional championship game and the Indiana Class A Final Four game, so I have plenty of "big game" experience. I spent last summer pitching for the Hammond (IN) Chiefs. We played in travel tournaments around the country, and finished second in the Senior Babe Ruth World Series in Moses Lake, Washington. Watching and playing against such high-level competition taught me a lot about pitching, and I expect to be one of the best high school pitchers in Indiana this year. I am considering majoring in Computer Science, Education or Management. I am looking for a school that has a good reputation in education and in athletics in the Midwest or the South.
