My name is Javier Roman, I'm a catcher from the Dominican Republic. I practice at the Academia Epy Guerrero, where I have been since 2016, working hard at my skills, physical and ability. I study at the Sport Academy High School were I will start as a senior at the 2020 fall . I have been playing baseball since I was 5 years old at the " Liga Enrique Cruz" were I started playing and developing the correct way to play ball. With them I started representing there name at different international tournaments but also for my country on international tournaments, the first one was the ESPN Rawling Salute in the 2012 and 2013, were we won silver 2012. Then I started making the national team to be representing the DR in tournaments like the Carl Ripken World Series, Cooperstown All Star Village, International Tournament of Arroyo, PR, Daytona Youth Nationals Baseball, etc. I' v always been an asset to the team because when we are losing or with a disagreement, I have always been the one that keeps us united and focused on what we are, a team, a family, but also I make them understand that it is a game that we must learn to accept if we are losing or winning since we are playing what we like, we have to enjoy it. Right know, where I'm playing baseball, I'am developing skills as a player that could help any college, I have great pop time, catching agility, frame, and putting in control the pitcher, but when is time for bat I have the bat discipline, batting clutch, power and the must important the contact, to put the ball in game. I'm not saying that I'am a Mike Trout or a Ken Griffey Jr; what I'm saying is that I always be a hard worker, dedicated and passionate athlete and student. I will like to study Business with sport management as a major because I want to be in the sports industry that I love. I have the experience to work and play under pressure and strive to be the best person on and out the field.
