Personal Statement
Starting at second as freshman for my high school team was a honor. Not only was it fun to play with the older guys, but I also got a taste of what it takes to be good playing next to a couple guys going to play ball at the next level. Baseball has showed me many things. Over the years of me playing baseball I've learned that almost everything is mental. Baseball has helped me with my attitude, that you always have to be positive and instead of dwelling on a mistake you've made, to go fix it. I've also learned that what you do in the classroom reflects exactly what you will do on the field.
As my parents have always told me school comes first and I have taking that serious. The 2016-2017 school year I was ranked 2 in my class and was top 5% of my class. not only am I a good student but I'm also very responsible. Even though being short peoples have always looked at me as a leader. By playing baseball the characteristics of being a leader have grown in me and will keep growing in me. Not only do I think I have the talent to play for a college team I also have the leadership and work-ethic to grow as a player and help your program.
