Zephran Jeter '22 Recruiting Profile

Since I was a kid I always wanted to play baseball at the next level whether it was from little league to high school and now from high school to college. I've always been taught not to be "just good" but to be exceptional. Being exceptional to me means leaving no excuse everyday of not being better than I was yesterday. Right now not having a chance to compete is my biggest fear. Competing is all I've ever known, it's almost like breathing. If I'm not competing with or against someone I'm competing with myself. Competing with myself helps me work on the mental sides of the game pushing me in the weight room and classroom. Last spring proved to me that I could compete at the next level throwing 46 innings with a 1.6 E.R.A. and only allowing 11 earned runs. Baseball has taught me many things but overall respect not just for the other team but for the game. My high school coach is constantly telling us the game isn't fair and it will eat you up and spit you back out again. It's constant work, I can't stop because somewhere someone else is working.
