Chuck Thomas '24 Recruiting Profile

As a dedicated and passionate baseball player, I am eager to take my skills and love for the game to the collegiate level.  I love the game. The dedication required as a pitcher is something I'm just fascinated by. All of the small actions and how they lead up to the perfect pitch. Knowing how to control my mind and find that sweet spot of intensity, focus and calm. My dad always told me the mind would be the biggest struggle as I got older and now I genuinely enjoy the challenge. Meditation has helped me quite a bit with calm and focus. I'm glad he made me do it when I was younger!

I've been working hard on becoming a better leader. I can have a tendency to want to just get zoned in on days that I am going to pitch, but I'm learning that my teammates still need me on those days and I need to find the right balance between my routine and the needs of the team. It's these challenges that continue to drive my interest in baseball as I know that they benefit me both on and off the field. With my love for the sport, commitment to my teammates, and drive to succeed, I am confident I would make a valuable addition to any college baseball program. I am eager to continue my journey as a student-athlete and make the most of this exciting opportunity.
