Jed Rosenberg '19 Recruiting Profile

I am a senior/2019 at the Landon School in Bethesda, Maryland. I am 6’1'', 195 lbs, throw R, bat L, RHP/1B/3B. I received a 35 on my ACT and have a 3.32 GPA. I am looking at studying Engineering/Computer Science and International Relations. I have played my travel ball with FTB Mid-Atlantic and the Richmond Braves these past two seasons.  A bit more:

Pitching – I have topped out at 85-86 this year, and been sitting high 70s/low 80s this summer. I throw four pitches for strikes – 2 and 4 seam FB, change and a curve. I’ve had a 2.31 ERA during my two Landon Varsity seasons as a starter and reliever and had mostly good outings this summer for the Braves.  For those who have access to Headfirst writeups, I attended session 5 in Long Island and had two quality outings.  

Hitting/Position Player – I hit .250 for the Braves this summer but in the last 18 games including Perfect Game found my stroke and went .333/.556/.500 (1.056 OPS). For Landon I was .378/.520/.541 in all my games this spring. I don’t chase bad pitches, walk a lot, and can hit and hit with power to all fields. My longest hits this year were to left-center. I have played mostly first and third base in my career, and consider myself an above average fielder who is improving each season.

I remain uncommitted at this time, and look forward to finding the right mix of challenging academics and good baseball for my college years.  Thank you for your interest - Jed
