Hello Coaches, my name is Juan Pena Simon. I currently attend Walter Johnson High School in Bethesda, MD, and I'm in the 2027 class. When I think about collegiate baseball, I look at the hours of training, the dedication day in and day out, on and off the field. I believe I'm just that. My goals and aspirations are bigger than just college baseball, my aspirations are someday making it to the MLB. This stems from the belief that nothing is impossible with hard work and perseverance. Baseball is more than just the field; it's life from those humbling moments when having a bad game to the highs of thinking you're on top of the world, but when being humbled, I see it as an opportunity for success, as the biggest failure turning into the biggest success. One of my goals is to develop my character and personal brand to exceptional levels that set me apart from anyone else. With my high school baseball, our coach talks a lot about how you can set yourself up differently from others, so I live in that. I believe that my identity as a player and as a teammate is disciplined, accountable, hardworking, intelligent, and persistent. I've been on the honor roll almost every time at WJ and keep on excelling in my studies by now, curating it to what I want to do in the future, which is business and marketing. I would love to join and bring to a collegiate program a sense of competitiveness to make my teammates around me work harder and supplemental positivity that brings team morale to another level. This is who I am.
