Goals and Aspirations
As a student athlete seeking a college career in baseball, it would be predictable for me to say I would
like to be scouted for D1 baseball, with the opportunity to play for Major League Baseball in the future.
That is a dream I have had, like so many others, since I was a child.
While I have not declared an educational major, I am looking towards my love of baseball, athleticism
and sports overall to guide my choices. I realize the importance of being successful, while understanding
to be successful, I need to follow my passions and try to fulfill my dreams to the best of my abilities.
Currently, I am striving to be a student that can represent my school, not only in athletics, but academics
as well. I feel I have the potential to lead and inspire others to be able to manage their studies while
elevating their passions for a sport I love. I continuously work hard to become better than my
yesterdays, while being present today, and always looking towards my future goals. I plan to represent
any college athletically, professionally, and have a strong desire to play D1 baseball, with the
opportunity to advance to the major leagues.
I am looking for a college that can help me discover educational interests that align with my passions so I
can maximize my success. My career interests are sports management, physical therapy and sports
medicine.
What makes me a good candidate for your team?
While I consider myself to be a leader, I am coachable. I recognize the importance of listening, and being
present in every moment. I strive to be an individual that stands out, however, I also feel that being an
integrated part of a team is also important. We achieve goals together, not apart.
I set goals that are achievable, and then set more once my goals have been met. I never stop trying to
learn and improve my personal bests. I will be an athlete that will represent any organization and
educational institution with dignity, and pride.
What makes me different than other recruits in character, athletics, and academics?
I realize that not everyone can be my friend. I realize that to be an educator and a coach, not all talks
can be pep talks. I expect hard conversations and hard truths to be had. Unlike some others, I can take
those constructive criticism, and turn it into even more motivation to succeed. I know striving to be the
best means allowing my coaches to lead me because while I am a confident individual, I know I still have
much to learn. I will work hard for any organization because not only is my head in the game, my heart is
also.
I have shown that I can always improve, not only in academics, but athletics as well. I am always looking
to evolve in every situation, and learn a lesson in every experience I have. I believe that I am not an
island standing on my own. I work with a pitching coach, a batting coach, an agility coach and even a
tutor. I truly believe that my successes, are their successes also.
I am dedicated and I take steps to plan ahead. I am fully aware success isn’t achieved overnight. I will
work hard to learn new things and be ahead of the curve when the next steps come. That is why, with
my parents support, and the support of teachers and coaches in my life, I really invest in my future. I am
currently learning new educational material to prepare me for future years, this includes continuing my
education after school and over the summer months.
Lastly, I don’t take my opportunities for granted. I have goals to become a professional baseball
player, and I recognize, I didn’t get here on my own. I work hard, I study hard, and I play hard. I do this
not only for myself, but all those who believed in me and continue to do so. I will be someone you can
depend on, and fully intent on being someone you can believe in.
