Daniel Kern '15 Recruiting Profile

My name is Daniel Kern and I am an 18 year old dedicated, loyal, hard-working athlete and honor student at South Carroll High School in Sykesville, MD. I have a 3.5 GPA and received a 1540 on my first attempt at the SAT. I play shortstop, thirdbase, centerfield and I also pitch if I am needed by the team. I will do whatever I need to do to succeed and conquer my goals. I look to not only help myself but the people around me in everything I do. To me, the most important thing is learning and acquiring new skills. I have a love of knowledge and learning both on and off the baseball diamond. In college I hope to play baseball, make the Dean's list, make friends and graduate knowing I can go out in life and be successful and support my family. 

In baseball I am the hardest working person you will meet. I will continually work on a skill until it is flawless. College baseball is a huge commitment. I understand that you have to give 110% not only on the field but in the classroom as well. Playing college baseball is an honor and it would be a dream come true to play at the next level. My willingness to learn and determination to win and succeed would be an asset to any team I make. 

In the classroom I take Honor's and AP classes. I get good grades and work just as hard in the classroom as I do on the ball field. I know what is expected of me from my parents and I always try my hardest to make them proud both on and off the field.
