Dylan Townsend '26 Recruiting Profile

My uncle introduced me to baseball at a very young age and I was hooked. I was about 4 years old and he captivated me with a game of catch and explaining the basics of baseball. All I wanted to do after that was practice throwing and catching and learning more about the sport.

I hold myself to a very high standard and don’t like failure. But I have learned that failure is also motivation. I don’t let failure bring me down, I use it to my advantage to help me strive to be better.

I maintain high grades and will continue to do so into college. I plan on a career in sports, having interests in kinesiology, sports medicine, and personal training. Baseball is my passion and will always be a part of my life.

I struggle with self doubt and work very hard to overcome that. I have made great strides with that and am a proud captain of my current travel team. Leadership did not come easy to me, but with amazing coaching I do feel comfortable as well as challenged in that role now.

 I am excited to explore all of the opportunities there are to play college baseball and grateful that I have this platform to share my accomplishments and get colleges excited to get to know me.
