Loic Dowd '19 Recruiting Profile

I am passionate about baseball and I always put in work outside of organized practices. I aim to be a starter on the roster in a good division to compete to get better. I bring speed, contact and arm strength to the team while also being a great drag bunter, boosting my average up.  I'm capable of hitting on every side of the field, and have good bat control.  I can play at any position, but my strongest position is in the OF. I always fight to the end, even if I earn a spot on the starting team, I understand that it is a privilege and not a right to be a part of team. I would bring a great attitude to the team because I have the mind of an underdog. I am working on getting my GPA as highest as possible and I put work in on and off the field, as well as in the classroom. I believe I make a great candidate for any team, because my mental strength is strong: if i'm in a slump, I just remember the basics,  I stop thinking and I get out of it.  College baseball has been a dream I have been working on since I was young.
