Henry Blake '23 Recruiting Profile

My name is Henry Blake. I am a 5’10”, 180 pound 2023 catcher/first basemen/left fielder. I currently attend Tantasqua Regional High School in Fiskdale, MA and play baseball on the varsity baseball team. Due to COVID-19, my freshman year was cut short and we did not have a baseball season. But, during my sophomore year, I was named starting catcher for the varsity team and carried a batting average of .407. I have attended a couple PBR events recently and have a 2.00 pop time with a 70 mph catcher velocity. I run a 7.4 60 and throw 71 mph from the outfield. My top exit velocity is 89.3 mph. I have also attended a few showcase tournaments this summer such as the Bay State Games, and the Blue/Grey classic. This summer, I played for the Double Play Jr. WooSox 15U AAU team out of Leicester, MA. In 53 at-bats, I had a .453 AVG, a .532 OBP, and a 1.079 OPS. Next season, I have been given the opportunity to play for the 17/18U showcase team coached by former Franklin Pierce assistant coach Mike Fahy. I am very excited to be given this opportunity and to learn many new things with Coach Fahy. I enjoy school and get very good grades while taking honors classes and college prep classes. Through my first two years in high school, I have a 3.42 GPA.
