Personal Statement

As a student athlete, leader and role model, I have always been self-driven to maintain excellence both in the classroom and on the baseball diamond.  While playing college baseball has been my lifelong aspiration and is my future goal, I am a three sport athlete including baseball, football and indoor track. Academically, I am disciplined and work diligently to maintain exemplary grades in honors level and AP classes, currently holding a weighted GPA of 4.49+, 1520 SAT and #1 class ranking amongst my 182 classmates. The leadership qualities I have obtained from serving as three year class president and four year starting quarterback have also helped me develop into a leader on the baseball field. As dedicated as I am to self-improvement, I constantly rally my teammates to work equally hard to better ourselves as athletes and develop the camaraderie that is essential for a team to be successful. On the field, my keen mental awareness allows me to thrive at the plate, be explosive on the bases and laser focused in both the infield and outfield. Discipline at the plate has been a major asset that has allowed me to consistently get on base. Whether it’s on or off the field, I always demonstrate the utmost integrity, respect and class when representing myself, my team, my school and my community.
