Personal Statement

I am an upcoming junior who would love to further my academic career and also continue playing baseball in college. Baseball is my true passion.  I am working hard and training at RIP City Academy in Pittsfield, MA doing strength training and conditioning, the throwing clinic and hitting and fielding.  My grandfather built me a batting cage and I try to get in at least 30-40 swings a day, weather permitting.

I am a team player and have learned every position besides catcher.  I was always an infielder/pitcher but lately, I am beginning to really enjoy the outfield.  I am a well rounded player and able to play anywhere.

  • 12/27/2023 - Baseball Factory Christmas Camp & Tournament at Pirate City - Session 2 Chase is a 2025 OF who showcased his skills during the BF Christmas Camp and Tournament in Pirate City. In the OF he starts in an athletic position and on the balls of his feet. He works thru the ball and fields from an athletic fielding position. Has a clean transfer and synched up on his throws. He made accurate throws from a 3/4 arm slot with an arm velocity up to 83mph. At the plate he hits from an athletic and square stance with comfortable hands. Has a compact swing and shows good bat to ball skills. In live game action, he made consistent contact and reached base 3 times with a single, a walk, and reached on an error. Chase has a high baseball IQ with ability to play multiple positions. With continued development we foresee Chase having a bright future on the baseball field.

  • Baseball National Showcase
  • 9/17/23 to 9/17/23
  • 09/17/2023 - National Showcase - Troy (Albany), NY Chase continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date, now a 7.21 runner. In the OF, defensive abilities are now well above average as he takes proper routes / angles in tracking down balls. He needs to work to get behind balls and play through with momentum to his target. He utilizes his foot quickness in covering a lot of ground. At 2B, defensive abilities are well above average as he displays clean / smooth actions. Feet are active as he works around ball and plays through with his body. Glove action is clean and presents out front. Throws are accurate with carry (83 mph exit velocity) to his target. At the plate, he shows an athletic, crouched setup. Hands are loose and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Lower half works well through the swing with an aggressive hip turn.
