Sean Barta '27 Recruiting Profile

My name is Sean Barta. I am a student at Beaverton High School for the class of 2027. I have been playing baseball since I was 5 years old. My most played positions are catcher, left and right field, and 3rd base. Though my travel ball coach says that one of his favorite things about me is that he can put me in any position and is confident I will perform. 

My goal with a college education is to obtain a career as a Wildlife Biologist for wildlife conservation and management. I have always enjoyed the outdoors and hunting. Being able to work towards ensuring habitats and population so wildlife can remain healthy is of great interest to me.

As an athlete, I believe that hard work gets results. After each game, I go over what I need to work on to make myself a better player. I also know that being a coachable athlete is important. A positive attitude, strong work ethic, the willingness to hear where my weaknesses are, and a desire to improve is required. I respect my coaches, teammates, the officials, and the game. The way I represent the organization, my team, my coaches, my parents, and myself, both on and off the field, is very important to me.
