I have a great passion for baseball. Academics are also very important to me. My choice in furthering my education will heavily weigh both aspects. My preferred position is pitcher. I’m also well experienced in the outfield and I am learning first base. As I grow physically and continue to work hard, I’m sure I’ll be a good fit to play baseball at the college level.

Kasey Carman is a 2027 RHP/1B/OF with a 6-0 170 lb. frame from Augusta, MI who attends Climax-Scotts. Medium athletic build with some present strength and the length to continue to project. Works from a high leg raise delivery with good drive down the mound, long arm action in back with a 3/4's arm slot coming through, repeated his mechanics well. Fastball topped out at 82 mph with good running life and missed some bats when in the zone. Change up was best when thrown thrown softer and getting life, tended to flatten out at higher velocities. Also threw an upper 60's curveball with developing spin. 7.55 runner in the sixty. Worked out in the outfield, best tool/skill was his arm strength, can work on his direction through release and getting his release point up for better on line carry. Right handed hitter, sets up in a medium stance with a toe tap trigger, uphill swing plane, has some strength at contact when he's squared up with middle of the field contact. Very good student.

Kasey Carman: RHP/1B, (2027) Climax-Scotts, MI. 5-foot-9, 160-pound. (55.7 mph bat speed average). (18.8 mph hand speed average). Begins in a balanced stance with a small load, then uses a short stride. Barreled up some balls with some loud contact. Raw while in the infield, made throws up to 70 mph; has a natural exchange, developing hands, and in control feet. Fielded the ball out front with developing average movement laterally. Capable on the mound, showed developing arm speed, he had a consistent arm action with an over-the-top arm angle. Tilt-and-topple type pitcher who shows decent effort. Showed a consistent balance point. (Max spin 1706; Avg 1620).

09/17/2023 - National Showcase - Beverly Hills (Detroit), MI Kasey is a strong RHP/1B who will graduate in 2027. At 1B, he shows smooth / fluid actions. He displays proper footwork around the bag and is a quality receiver. Hands are clean and presents out front. Range will increase as he improves foot quickness. At the plate, he shows an open setup. Hands are loose and work through an aggressive swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently. On the mound, fastball shows range of 67-68 mph. Breaking ball displays 10/4 shape with gradual break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup with sinking action. Knuckleball shows tumbling action with sink. Slider is harder with tight spin. Stock on the mound will continue to rise as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. With 4 years to further develop, Kasey had potential with time and room to progress his game.

Kasey Carman is a 2027 RHP/1B, OF with a 5-5 130 lb. frame from Augusta, MI who attends Climax-Scotts. Young, lean build with a lot of time to continue getting stronger. Recorded a 9.10 60-yard dash. Primary right-handed pitcher, works from the third base side of the rubber, side step to a high lift, leans back at the top of the lift, full arm swing to a three-quarters slot. Still developing arm speed, should get better as he gets stronger. Fastball up to 67 mph (1428 RPM) and mixed a loopy breaking ball, up to 59 mph (1699 RPM). Secondary first baseman, fields with two hands, has solid footwork around the bag and showed the ability to feed the double play well. Has solid actions for the age. Recorded throws up to 69 mph, was accurate around the bag. Right-handed hitter, hits from an open stance with high hands and a high back elbow. Heel lift trigger stride, young bat speed and still developing true feel for the barrel. Hit soft liners to the right side of the field. As he continues to grow, all aspects should continue to get better.
