Personal Statement
Hello- My name is Jacob Walther and I am currently attending Walled Lake Western High school as a sophomore. I am 15, my birthday is October 1, 2004 in Wixom, Michigan. I am 6'1" at the moment, I am a right handed batter and thrower. My main position is catcher, but I can also play middle infield. I have played the game of baseball since the age of 4, I have always loved the game. I love baseball because of the skill it takes and how you can train and train to get endlessly better. I have a younger brother who also plays baseball, my Dad has coached basketball for 20 years and he has been my coach and helped me become the player I am today. In my free time I like to hang out with my friends, play video games and play backyard football. I try to lift 3 times a week, and do speed and agility in the off season. I am a 4.2 student and grades are very important to me, so I spend a lot of time studying and doing homework to maintain my grades. I am not quite certain what I want to be when I grow up, but I excel and really like math and science. I was on varsity my freshman year and some things to know about me would be that I am a little quieter than most but I can and will take charge when needed. I pride myself on being a coachable hard-worker who will do whatever is asked on and off the field. I pride myself on my grades and respect for others. And I will bring this hard work and coachable attitude to your team as well.
