Timothy Welsh '21 Recruiting Profile

     I began playing baseball at 3 years old.  I joined the Grand Blanc Cats Travel baseball program when I was 9 and played with them until I was 14.  My Freshman year I started on our JV team and by the end of the year, got pulled up to varsity. I played on a Grand Blanc summer baseball team that was overseen by the varsity coach at my high school. On this team we value being unselfish and playing for your teammates. Our goal during the summer was to see the best competition possible, in order to improve our games and be able to compete with the best. I took it upon myself to be a leader on the team and to pick up my teammates when they were down. This also involved me putting everything I had on the field every time I stepped out there.

    After one year in high school, I maintained a 4.0 GPA, while taking advanced courses in Math and Science. My upcoming Sophomore year I am also taking pre-AP courses in Spanish and English. I try to carry the same attitude into the classroom as I do on the field; I always work my hardest.
