Hayden Davis '24 Recruiting Profile

Hi, my name is Hayden Davis and I am currently a junior in high school and live in the small town of Freeport, MI. My older brother is a pitcher at Cleary University, so it’s just me and my dog, Lily that keep my parents busy these days.  

I love the game of baseball and my goal is to play college ball. I stand at 5’11’’ and 190 lbs. I’m a left-handed pitcher, batter, and 1^st baseman. Although pitching and 1^st base are my primary positions, I’m willing to play wherever the coach and team need me. I’m a team player and make it a point to lift a fellow player up when they’re having an off day.

When people ask me why baseball, all I can say is that I’m the most comfortable when I’m either on the mound, ready at the base, or standing in the batter’s box. There is just something about being on the field, the smell of the fresh-cut grass, and the sound of cleats walking across the concrete that brings out the competitor in me. 

As for my skills, I’m always looking for ways to improve and work daily to get better. I have a set workout routine that I do to make sure I’m building strength, flexibility, and agility. I attend the opportunities that come my way to get in the cage to swing a bat and throw a ball. I’ve been lucky to have great coaches and organizations help me develop my skills throughout the years. And of course, my parents are a big part of my development and have dedicated countless hours of helping me be where I am today and are helping me get where I want to go in the future.

When I’m not playing or training for baseball, I like to go hunting, fishing, and camping. I also like to play video games and hang out with my friends. 

As for a career, I’m interested in a lot of different things, but like the idea of helping athletes stay healthy so they can compete.
