Personal Statement
My name is Teddy Petersen. I am 18 years old, 5'9", 165 pounds, and I run a 6.8 in the 60 yard dash. I play for Glencoe Silver-Lake High School Varsity Team in Glencoe, MN. I made the All-Conference team as a sophomore. I hit .397 on the year with seven doubles and I stole 19 bases. My Varsity team placed third in the Class AA State Tournament. I started every game at shortstop. This summer I started at shortstop on the Plato MN 19U American Legion Team. We won the state championship, and won the Division 2 Central Plains Regional Title. I hit .514 for the season and won the Big Stick award and the MVP award by going 13 for 17 (.764) in the Division 2 Legion Central Plains Regional Tournament.
I play on the Maxbat National Team (18U) and we travel around the country and play through the winter.
I can offer many things to any college team. I am determined to work hard day in and day out, at practice and in games, on and off the field. I take pride in my work ethic. I can almost always find a way on base with my speed and bat and I have a very good glove in the field. Hard work has always been my base in everything I do. My dream has always been to play college baseball, represent my town, my family, and my God. Also, I strive to become a role model for kids.
Playing as a freshman in college, at the highest level, is my goal . I am devoted to working as hard as I can to acheiving this goal. Another goal I have is helping any team I am selected to play for. It doesn't matter where it is located or what team it is.
