Not using a long, dragged out motion to complete the task. Soft Hands - Great use of soft hands and is able to catch the ball cleanly without bobbling or dropping it. Ability to absorb the impact of the ball without it bouncing out of the glove. Tactical Abilities - 87 / 100 Fielding - Quickly react to balls hit back to them and make accurate throws to first base or other fielders. Control - Great job at controlling the controllables. Keeping good form even if frustrated with the previous result. Swinging at good pitches. Physical Abilities - 92 / 100 Endurance - Great work rate throughout camp. Showed endurance that helped effectiveness, especially late. Agility - Showed good agility. Good body positioning and footwork helped you change directions quickly. Mental Abilities - 87 / 100 Confidence - Great confidence, didn’t shy away when challenged at camp and played with a sense of urgency. Coachability - Responds well to coaching. Asked good questions and seemed to enjoy the learning process. Coach's Comments Eli has a good, athletic body to build on. He should get more physical over the next year. Feet are light. Exchanges are quick and clean when throwing. Very coachable - wants to get better. Leadership/Communication - Force yourself to be more vocal and be ok with saying the wrong thing. Catchers must communicate and look confident doing it. This takes practice. You will mess it up at times and that is ok. Body Mobility - Work on your ankle, hips and t-spine mobility. This will help you be more balanced, explosive and under control when catching and hitting. Keep the bat "connected" when swinging - Work the 3 drills we showed you and hit with your back shoulder and back hip rather than just hands. This will increase your power and give you more positive contact. https://mycamp.exactsports.com/pr_share/87644/9978fd5d-7794-45a3-aa6f-374e561493c0

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
