Caden Christiansen '19 Recruiting Profile

I am passionate about the game every single time I step onto the practice or game field. I have taken pride in being the hardest working practice player on every team I have ever been on. I love the work and the repetitions it takes to improve daily. I have also taken pride in developing a reputation of being highly coachable and a great teammate throughout my career. I am a leader in my school as an elected student council representative, a mamber of the national honor society,  and a multisport athlete with varsity leadership positions for my upcoming senior seasons in both baseball and basketball. I am also a very strong student with a 3.70 GPA achieved while taking advanced and A.P. classes.

As a sophomore in 2017,  I started every game in the middle infield, (almost all at shortstop), for the defending MN AAA state champions, and I had steady improvement offensively and defensively throughout the season. I was also one of the most productive players in our 5 game postseason section run batting 0.467 while facing D-1 pitching recruits in 3 of the five games.  I was the unanimous choice from my teammates as the Henry Sibley MIP for the 2017 season, and I was also fortunate enough to earn honorable mention all-conference recognition for the Metro East conference.

I was voted all-conference in the Metro East conference at the conclusion of my 2018 junior season. I started every game at shortstop and increased my defensive proficiency with a .976 fielding %. I have batted over .350 over the first two years of my varsity baseball career combined. I am also one of the youngest students in my grade, (turning 17 in July), and I know I have another physical level to reach for my senior season as I keep growing,  working on my body,  and putting in all of the skill work needed to keep improving my craft.

My goal is to play college baseball at the highest level I can, and to do it at a college or university that offeres fantastic culture in their program, and the best academic opportunities possible.
